Comments:	Buettner will return to the Eels in 2001 after spending 4 years with the North Sydney Bears (Northern Eagles in 2000). Buettner will need to re gain top form as the Eels are going to look at him to setup the outside backs for tries. If required Buettner has a fair amount of goalkicking experience.

Comments:	Burt had a disapointing year in 2000 after having a succesfull rookie campain. He'll be looking to re gain top form and try to force his way past Richards, Moodie, Vaealiki and Lyno for the starting center and wing positions. He will likley start the year in 1st division.

Comments:	Hodgson was proving to be one of the Eels best players all year until a badly broken jaw keept him out of the finals. Brett will be ready for a big 2001. Will battle with Taylor for the goalkicker duties.

Comments:	Another of many to make his debut in 2000. Lyon has been widely tipped to have a big rep career amongst other Bob Fulton has been impressed with Jamie's play.

Comments:	Marsh played his 1st NRL game against the Knights in Newcastle. Despite the Eels losing Marsh had a good game setting up I.Hindmarsh's try. He'll battle with Taylor and Witt for the #7 jumper.

Comments:	McKinnon will play 1st division in 2001. If Hodgson is unavaible Wade could come into the side he has yet to make his debut in the NRL but from lower grade games he'll go well.

Comments:	At 27 Moodie can fell like a oldie in the Eels side most of his teamates are 5 years+ younger. Moodie came into the side after Grothe got injured and ended the year as the Eels top try scorer with 10 tries. He should get a few more in 2001.

Comments:	Neirinckx has played some junior level repesntive League including under 17's and under 19's NSW sides. He is a kid to watch for in the next couple of years and already tips the scales at 103 kg. Will need injuries to others to make the NRL in 2001.

Comments:	Richards was a revelation on the wing for the Eels in late 2000 scoring 2 tries in the 1st semi against Sydney would have been a highlight for Richards. "Jimmy" has Rabbits Warren mistaking called him once should continue to improve over the next couple of years and break into the rep games. If he fails at RL a successfull cricket career waits.

Name:	Jason Taylor

Comments:	Taylor will look to the 2001 season as a chance to re gain form and pride after a terible 2000 campain if he can get into his best form then he should stay in the top grade however both Marsh and Witt will be pushing Taylor every week. A sidenote Taylor need 193 pts to overtake Darryl Halligan as the all time leading point scorer.

Comments:	Vaealiki will be looking to continue the form he dsiplayed in late in 2000. Which saw him get 6 tries in the last month of the season. Scoring 2 tries against the Raiders then backing that up with 3 against the Dragons a fortnight later and a try against the Roosters in the 1st week of the finals. He will be looking to get the other center position as Lyon has all but secured one. Vaealiki will face competion from Burt, Buettner and Neirinckx.
