Comments: | Drew was signed from the Panthers at the end of the 2000 season. He should get first crack at the #9 jersey. If he fails Daniel Irvine will be waiting. |

Debut: | 1998 |
Comments: | Nathan Hindmarsh has cracked the big time. The rest of the RL world saw what Eels faithfull knew in 98 this kid is special. Little Spud will go onto have a HUGE future in the game. Hindmarsh will thrive in the new interchange rules. |

Position: | Second Row |
D.O.B: | 31st July, 1977 |
Debut: | 1999 |
Comments: | Despite being 3 years older. Ian has played fewer 1st grade games then brother Nathan. He has been living in his brothers shadow many are predicting him to join Nathan on the rep scene in 2001. |

D.O.B: | 13th, February, 1982 |
Debut: | 2000 |
Comments: | Irvine made his first grade debut in 2000 and scored his first try against the Eagles at Brookvale. He will battle all year with Drew for the #9 jersey but will start the year in 1st division. |

Name: | Jason Power |
Position: | Prop |
D.O.B: | 3rd January 1981 |
Debut: | N/A |
Comments: | Yet to make his 1st grade debut Jason made the Eels part time squad for the 2001 season. He'll have a lot of work to do to get into the top 17. If injuries strike the Eels forwards as they did in early 2000 then Jason could be one of the players called upon to fill the boots of the Eels international props. |
Name: | Adrian Rainey |
Position: | Second Row |
D.O.B: | 6th January, 1979 |
Debut: | |
Comments: | Signed during the offseason from Wests. Rainey will start the year in first division and will problably only get time if injuries strike the Eels forwards. |
Name: | Chad Robinson |
Position: | Prop |
D.O.B: | 20th October, 1980 |
Debut: | 2000 |
Comments: | Robinson has only played a few games in first grade but this has been due to the Eels depth in the front row. Chad has shown some good form in 1st division but as yet hasn't cracked the 1st grade sqaud for a regular position. |

Name: | Andrew Ryan |
Position: | Lock |
D.O.B: | 2nd December, 1978 |
Debut: | 2000 |
Comments: | Ryan made his debut in Round 2 in 2000 against the Broncos and played nearly every remaining game other then missing 4 games with an eye injury. 2 years ago andrew was playing Metro Cup and considing a move back to his hometown of Dubbo. He stayed at the Eels and helped Parra take out the 1st division title in 1999 with a 44-8 Grand Final win against the Balmain Tigers. |

Name: | David Solomona |
Position: | Second Row |
D.O.B: | 26th Janaury, 1978 |
Debut: | 1999 |
Comments: | Solomona had an outstading year with the Roosters and was the Roosters best forward and possibly their best player in the Grand Final. He scored a try against the Eels in the 1st game of the year and played a major role in the Roosters hammering of the Eels later in the year. Solomona should be an outstading aquisition for the Eels in 2001. |

Name: | Danny Sullivan |
Position: | Second Row |
D.O.B: | 1st April, 1982 |
Debut: | N/A |
Comments: | Sullivan hasn't made his first grade debut but he has already been talked about as being an outstanding player. He may find it hard to crack the team in 2001 however he will make the side in the next couple of years. He is very big for someone his age and will problably get bigger in the next couple of years. |
Name: | Michael Vella |
Position: | Prop |
D.O.B: | 19th February, 1978 |
Debut: | 1998 |
Comments: | Despite playing 8 games off the bench in 1998. Michael Vella was named the 1999 Rookie of the Year. Vella has already played 4 Origins and 6 test for Australia. Vella had a poor 2000 season this was mainly due to a number of injuries that kept him out of 9 games in total. He should be able to re gain top form in 2001 if he can stay fit. |

Name: | David Westley |
Position: | Prop |
D.O.B: | 7th June, 1974 |
Debut: | 1993 |
Comments: | Westley helped Canberra win the 1994 Grand Final and has played Rep League for Papua New Guniea. He suffered a serious knee injury in 1997 and due to that couldn't play in 1998 and for most of the 1999 season. The Eels signed him and hoped that David could overcome the knee injuries. He did and played a vital role in the Eels 2000 campain. He will have a lot of competition for the front row positions in 2001 but going on his performances in 2000 he will not look out of place in the starting side. Westley is one of a only a few Eels players to have played 100 games. |

Name: | Adam Wheeler |
Position: | Prop/Second Row |
D.O.B: | 3rd April, 1980 |
Debut: | 2000 |
Comments: | Wheeler made his top grade debut against the Dragons in the last game of the regular season in 2000. He should get a lot more games in the top grade over the next few years. Wheeler often fills the role of captain when he plays in 1st division. |

Name: | Troy Wozniak |
Position: | Second Row |
D.O.B: | 6th January, 1978 |
Debut: | 1999 |
Comments: | Wozniak played in most of the Eels early season games due to injury to other forwards. He plauyed very well however after players like Cayless and Vella returned it was Wozniak who lost his spot in the side and although he didn't play to many bad games in 1st division he was unable to crack the top grade side again during the season. He has been kept on in the full time sqaud this may see him play more of a role in the Eels 1st grade side in 2001. |
